Azerbaijan is a fanmade character for Hetalia: Axis Powers. She represents the Republic of Azerbaijan, a country in the Caucasus region of Europe. Her human name is Marina Mizemehemmedova.
Appearance
Marina has long straight black hair and dark green eyes. Underneath her brown woolen greatcoat, she wears a very ornate upper outer garment and a blue, red, and green skirt resembling the flag of Azerbaijan. Her military uniform is a beige or brown uniform over a telnyashka and a black beret. But ever since 1994, after the Nagorno-Karabakh War, Marina has lost her left boot to Nagorno-Karabakh (Malik Tooligian).
She has a birthmark resembling Azerbaijan's eight-pointed star on the side of her left thigh.
Personality and Interests
Marina is calm, quiet, and friendly with the other nations, but make sure never to mention Nagorno-Karabakh in her presence. If you do, she flies into a rage and demands either Malik or Haig Tooligian (Armenia) or both of them to return her boot. During her saner moments, however, she tries to convince Malik that she was just following her boss's orders to fight him.
Marina is mum when it comes to Georgia, Abkhazia, and South Ossetia.
Relationships
Russian Federation (Ivan Braginski)

Marina and Ivan are very close, but because he's also friends with Armenia, Marina's outlook on Ivan has become sour, and she tries to frustrate his efforts for regional energy dominance whenever she can. However, despite this, they're friendly with each other.
Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (Malik Tooligian)

All Malik wanted was to become independent, but Marina's boss didn't want him to, and he ordered Marina to battle him. To this day, Malik couldn't get over the fact that she fought him, and so clings on to Marina's left boot without a thought of giving it back.
Republic of Armenia (Haig Tooligian)

Marina and Haig may have been friends once (from 1918 to 1922, at least), but because of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in recent years, they have no formal diplomatic relations, and are still technically at war just like North and South Korea, and Cyprus and Northern Cyprus.
Georgia (Ludmilla Shevardnadze)

Marina and Ludmilla are friends, much better friends than with Haig or Ivan. They cooperate in regional energy projects and are good trading partners, but they have a fight over a monastery complex. However, Marina refuses to talk about Ludmilla's situation with Abkhazia and South Ossetia with her.
