Beijing is a fan-made character for the anime/manga, Hetalia: Axis Powers, and is the personification of the capital city of the PRC/China. She takes the human name Wang Yaling, or Yaling Wang (王雅玲) and is formerly known as Beijing (北京)
Overview[]
Beijing is a very serious character (almost like Germany), but is oftentimes too overprotective when it comes to her siblings. She has a close relationship with her older sister, Nanking, even though she can be rather callous to her sister’s other personality, Nationalist China. Even though she can be rather cold, she has your best interests at heart, unless you’re Japan or England. She holds grudges, and can hold them for a very long time, sometimes even for centuries. (Ex: Japan and Tokyo) She doesn’t appreciate her family’s “betrayers,” namely Taiwan, but is still very respectful towards them, because she believes that blood is thicker than any grudges she may have towards them. She favors her CZ75 Phantom and in war, her beloved CSGC JS 9mm.

China: Beijing enjoys his company, and used to consider him as her idol. For a period of time, during the Opium War, she resented him because he was always high and left everything mostly to her and Nanking. After she matured more, she came to realize that it was England's fault, and forgave her brother. Now, she likes to fight with him over how the government should run, even though she doesn't really have any authority in court unless she has China backing her up. China mostly understands Beijing, and listens to her suggestions, but they fight a lot.
Nanking(OC): Nanking is one of my favorite OCs, for those who don't know, she is one of China's cities, and before WW2, was the capital of China. She's best known for the Rape of Nanking, and she is still scarred by the experience. Beijing is closest with her sister Nanking, because she has spent all her life with her, and she values her sister’s patience and maturity, which she thinks China can lack sometimes. On her worst days, Beijing considers Nanking as a pathetic personification that has lost all her power and authority. Nanking has a split personality disorder, and was the personification of Nationlist China, but Beijing regards that side of her sister as a separate being altogether. She’s very overprotective of Nanking, and doesn't support her relationship with Tokyo.
Japan: Beijing absolutely hates Japan, who she doesn’t even consider as a sibling at all, even though China never actually disowned him. She hates him for the first and second Sino-Japanese Wars, for his betrayal, and his destruction of the ever-lasting dynasties of China and establishing the Manchu Empire. She doesn’t talk to him and ignores his existence. The Japanese nation acts rather indifference towards her, but has tried to apologize, only to be ignored.
Appearance[]
Usually in a Chinese military uniform, with her hair back or tucked into her cap. She has tan skin, like most asians, and golden-brown eyes like the rest of her family. She is reasonably attractive, but has a scar across her left calf from the World Wars and faintly burned hand from the burning of the Forbidden City.
