Mexico ( メキシコ, Mekishiko) is a fan character in the series Hetalia: Axis Powers and the Allied Forces. He has received the name José Hernández Martinez ( ホセ·ヘルナンデス·マルティネス·カリエド,Hose herunandesu Marutinesu ).

Mexico is shown with shaggy black hair, black eyes and wears a standard WW2 Mexican Air Force Uniform. His height is 5'6.
Personality[]
Mexico can be very blunt and overly sarcastic, though with people he's comfortable around; and can have a sense of humor and be very laid back. He's not afraid to put his opinion out on the table, and won't get pressured easily. Though he can become very stressed pertaining to certain individuals. He can be very aggressive and observant. When you first meet, he's usually very formal .
He can make negatives remarks towards a person before immediately and quietly laugh about it. In the other way around, he can get offended fairly easily by smaller issues and people don't seem to know that tick him off until its too late. In someways, he may come off as rude but it's usually jokingly. Depending on the person, he can be very gentle with older friends and family and cruel with others.
He also has a ton of pride in being able to deal with things himself.

America[]
They both officially met when America recognized Mexico's independence from the Spanish. Ever since their argument from the Mexican American War they tend to be hostiles towards each other. Though in many situations they tend to team up against a common foe.
Russia[]
They seem to have very friendly ties, and both enjoy each others company. Mexico doesn't feel endanger with Russia's presence and they both can have very pleasant conversations. Russia admires Mexico's warm climate and likes to visit.
Spain[]
In the early 1500s Mexico was taken brutally from his original by Spain and was obedient under Spanish rule. In the Past Mexico had always shown a rebellious side whenever he was not under Spain's presence but was always obedient when he was. After the Mexican independence movement Spain (and even France) by any means had tried to take him back. Currently, they have very good relations. He can be friendly to Spain. Though he doesn't treat him like a father or brother figure.

Mexico is also mentioned in the America and the World Map strip, where America explains to England why Mexico on his map is "half-assed", stating that "It's because of my grudge over the Alamo". Mexico is also mentioned by Kumajirou to Canada.

- 2020 Edit : As my art improves I try to update the design as much as possible, but hetalia has changed a ton since I last touched it. I'm finally able to draw a version of this character I imagined him to be. Though it took . . uhh. .more than 6 years thats fine! I was reminded he existed by a little voice in the back of my head and I had to revisit and change the image icon again. So yeah! until I update him again.
